Our nodes of operation are distributed over approximately 15 km of coastline. (Port Locality Plan).

The major port operators include:

• Dampier Port Authority;
• Dampier Salt;
• Mermaid Marine;
• Pilbara Iron; and
• Woodside

Management of operational effects of each facility is the responsibility of the operator.  The DPA is responsible for 'whole of port' operational effects that cannot be directly attributed to an organisations operations.

The DPA maintains an Environmental Aspects Register for all port operations which identifies elements of each operation that may impact the port environment. The register includes a risk assessment that assists with prioritising resources to manage the aspect.
